The Weight of Water is the first series of works created with liquified pigment on raw,
textured fabric. I explore how pigment spreads, gathers, and settles according to the
weave of the textile, creating compositions shaped by both intention and chance. Dense
passages give way to open space, evoking currents, weather, depth, and suspension.
These works investigate how material itself can become an active participant in
painting, allowing structure and meaning to emerge through process rather than prior
design.
